The UK airline will offer complimentary quick onboard wifi through space-based agreement
Passengers aboard the airline can soon access high-speed wifi onboard free of charge following a major agreement with SpaceX's communications provider.

British Airways revealed that the complimentary, “quick and reliable” wifi offering from the satellite provider is set to be offered for travelers flying coach, business, or premium cabins starting next month.
Widespread Implementation Across Several Flight Operators
The parent firm for BA, International Airlines Group, announced it had secured an partnership with the satellite firm for providing connectivity access for over 500 jets across its carriers, including Aer Lingus, the Spanish carrier, and Vueling.
Seamless Internet starting at Gate to Landing
BA noted that the rollout of the service was part of a seven billion pound “upgrade” plan that will offer lag-free internet access for flyers from the gate through landing, even when traveling across large bodies of water or remote regions.
Travelers will be able to link multiple electronics while they will not require a special login.

Limited internet access remains provided for British Airways travelers on nearly all of the airline's planes via the .air service.
